Join us for an intimate online gathering to celebrate the launch of my forthcoming book, "Jia-Ba-Bue: Somatic Leadership Beyond the Binary." I am incredibly honored to be hosted by the legendary filmmaker Lee Mun Wah for this deep-reaching conversation.
Jia-Ba-Bue (pronounced jah-bah-bweh) is a traditional Taiwanese greeting that translates to: "Have you eaten until full?" It is what my grandmother said to me every day when I came home from school. In these times, this ethos has become my guiding light—a way to find our way back "home" as we weather uncertainty together.
While the physical process of writing this book took four months, it is truly the accumulation of years spent listening to thousands of individuals. This isn’t just a book about the daily challenges faced by the Asian community; it is a story of: Unseen resilience and hope, and the beauty of Asian cultural values.
Because the body often remembers what the mind forgets, I have incorporated somatic practices for those who find their way home through writing or quiet reflection. I wrote this book for the people who inspired me in my workshops—so that when you engage with these stories, you see a piece of yourself.
Event Details: Wednesday, January 28th at 1pm EST/10am PST
